Michal Golan, an Israeli-born, New York City based jewelry designer, painter, printer and ceramist, is the creative force behind the company.

Inspired by the Victorian-era, Byzantine and Middle-Eastern jewelry and decorative arts, Michal’s distinctive designs are immediately recognizable all over the world for their intensely and unique coloured arrangements of gemstones, pearls, crystals and enamel and its meticulous attention to detail.

The company was launched in the heart of New York City in 1982 with a design studio and production facility where today a team of 40 skilled employees work, many of them for more than 15 years.

There are two Michal Golan retail galleries in New York City. One store is located in downtown Manhatten in the Financial District, only a few steps away from where The World Trade Centre used to be (4 Courtland Street). Our second store opened its doors in Spring 2006 in the Upper West Side (313 Columbus Avenue).

Michal is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA in Graphic Art and she holds as well a degree in Studio Art from the New York University. Her jewelry, paintings, prints and ceramics were exhibited in several museums, galleries, movies and shows in the United States. Michal has also won the Ben-Yitzhak Medal for Distinguished Children’s Book Illustration.

In Europe, we represent Michal Golan in Berlin. Our agency and showroom is located opposite of The Museum Island, in the arty and teeming Berlin-Mitte district, the heart of the city, famous for its galleries, museums, theatres, clubs, bars, cafes, designer boutiques, where a young creative international community found the place to work and live.
